Hello this is my first post on the forum. :hi2:

I have a problem with my Panasonic Toughbook cf19 mk4 CF-19TSB14 (CF-19WJF7A1M in the BIOS). The screen will not auto rotate when I flip the screen around, but the tablet buttons/hotkeys work fine.
I am running Window 7 Pro 64bit. I have used a restoration DVD (CF-K19A405) that I have recently bought from HartlandSI because this Toughbook did not come with its DVD. In the BIOS, the Toughscreen Mode is set to auto (so it can go to tough screen mode and to tablet mode automatically), but the current status is always tablet mode even though I am using it was a laptop. With the screen rotation tool set so that in laptop mode it is in primary landscape and tablet mode in primary portrait. When I hit "OK" it goes to Primary portrait when the screen has not be flipped to a tablet position. I have reinstalled the OS 3-4 times with the same problem. Could it be a driver issue? If so, what driver should I download?
Is it possible that there is a sensor inside the computer that is not engaging when the screen is flipped around?

I hope someone could help me.

You will have to manually set your rotation. Windows 7 and 8 64 bit will not rotate automatically, albeit the hotkeys mostly work... IntelGraphics will allow you to rotate the screen the way you you want. This is what I have done to enter tablet mode... Someone else may know something different. It is software/driver issues, not hardware...

    Welcome to the Toughbook Forum
On my Cf-19MK1 and 2 my screen does not auto rotate. I have always had to use the front buttons. Works for me .

Has anyone here manage to get there auto-rotate to work while running windows 7 64bit?
What if I were to use a 64bit driver, associated to the screen rotate, from a MK5 or MK6.

My mk5 does auto-rotate to portrait when it's in tablet. But I had to set that as the factory setting is to stay the same.
As you have the DVD''s from Hartland, I would think changing the settings would be enough.

@BaRRMarley, Nice mk4 you're getting ublox GSP, SSD. cool!

Can you tell me more of what you did to make it work, im probably missing something. I should try and use the MK5 drivers (for Win 7 Pro 64).

display rotation tool is a panasonic program in the [dashboard for panasonic pc]. This enables you to make the rotation behave like you want it in laptop and tablet mode.
Mind you, it doesn't work like your iphone or ipad, where you rotate your ipad and the screen rotates with it.

    Oops, sorry :)
Yes, it's here. 100 hours, looks new, works like new etc :))
WWAN is already enabled, thanks to this wonderful forum!
Only one thing I have to do now is to remove black paint from the cover (or change that cover). It looks great, but it will overheat under the sun.
I've exchanged HDD caddies with my MK3 and it was the simpliest move from one PC to another one :))

Automatic driver installation under Win8 :)
I had to install driver for u-Blox GPS and maybe 1-2 other drivers, I don't remember (3 minutes total maybe).
Also I've installed Win7 video driver, because Intel thinks this 1st gen i5 system is too old for Win8.
