    Hello,
I need some help. I just purchase a Panasonic ToughBook W2F laptop on ebay. When I purchased it, I thought it was the Basic W2, but its a W2F. I search online and couldn't find any Information or photos of the laptop. The seller did post 2 photos of the laptop (front view and top view), but I notice, this W2F had the speaker and mic jacks on the front of the laptop, not the side, like the W2.

My problem is, what model or version is the W2F, UK Japan or US? I can't find any photos or information on the W2F. The W2 and W2F is slightly build different from what I have seen.

I'm hoping I have the US version...

    Please help me, thanks

Knowing nothing about any of the W series, I can suggest that you go into bios (press F2 on boot up at Panasonic splash screen) and find the full Model #, ie. CF-W2xxxxxx. Post that up and the sleuths will have lots of info in short order.

BTW, did your unit has a harddrive already or it wasn't. I ask coz its a pain on the a..h and bu..t on replacing or installing the hdd. Ask me how I know it?. Pay attention not only on electronic component but also on small mechanism. You may end up an excess materials or srews, Lol

Anyway, this animal also use a 2.5 hdd with 3.3 volts. In advance read the discussion previously posted. It may help you.
