    Hello, folks!

I am looking to upgrade my current laptop to something portable and decently fast. After some investigation, CF-Y7 and CF-R6A look like a good choice.

    1. Anybody tried to play Civilization 4 on it? What are your impressions?
    2. How about HD movie playback (at least 720p)? Can they handle it? What about 720p with H.264 codec? 1080p and VC-1 codec?

Would REALLY appreciate your feedback! If you are willing to help testing video playback, I can at least provide some test clips.

    Thanks! :D

Just tried playing some 720p H264 video on an R3 (scaled to fit on the 1024x768 screen), and there were no noticeable issues. Mplayer complains the system is a little slow and drops a frame or two, but it's nothing I could see.

The R6 and Y7 are both much faster than the R3, so you shouldn't have any trouble video playback. I'll have an R6 sometime this week to do some testing on it (such as gaming performance).
