The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Panasonic Y8 disappeared from Panasonic site !

    It seems to me we should say "bye-bye Panasonic Yx serie" since if you try to find it on official web site you can see only W, R, T and F (probably that what is going to be a replacement of Y series) series.

    It is pity for such "archaic dinosaurs" like me who doesn't need wide screen but want to have standard matte 4:3 screen which provides more space for vertical scrolling (1050 instead of 900). That was create notebook, the best for me. Unfortunately Panasonic had to follow market especially in our tough days. I will not be surprised if Panasonic start coating the cheap glossy cover soon.
