    Panasonic Lumix DMC-TS2 Review & Rating | PCMag.com

I'm aware that they had another model before this; but poor performance and a 3m waterproof rating just didn't qualify as a ToughCamera in my opinion. This version has a respectable boot time; though shot to shot delay is longer than I like, it is a huge improvement over its predecessor. What REALLY gets my nads jangling is the HD video AND built-in HDMI connector; I just drool over the trouble I could get into with that...

And YES, it IS available in ToughBook grey.

Yeah, but so do dozens of other cameras at half the price; a 3m water resistance is useless. I see no point in even bothering to make the claim; what am I gonna do, take "my goldfish view" pictures from inside my aquarium or photograph feet in the kiddie splash pool?

3 meter? I met 'er... she might have been a 3, if I drank long enough...

It's good for light snorkeling and that is about it... My sister-in-law had a great Canon (I think) waterproof camera that we used in the lake and pool. It took great pics...

Actually I have been pretty impressed with my Panasonic Lumix DMC-TS1. The 3 meters of water proofing and being shock proof to a distance of 5 feet has been more then adequate for my usage. I have found it performance to be typical Panasonic.

I guess that more waterproofing would be nice, but kind of supercilious in the desert environment that I suspect that it will ultimately be used. I must also point out that they make a divebox for it if that is your intent.
