Hello, I have installed windows 7 on my cf-53 (S), but when I want to install a panasonic application, I have a message that meditates that it lacks the misc driver app. I can not find this driver. Can you help me find it? Thank you.

you will need to install the "misc driver app". What app are you trying to install.

is this the same thing (well almost) as the "miscellaneous drivers . application" used in the '30 and '31 ?
it is about halfway down the install sequence list .

I'm betting it's bundled in the common components file, best bet might be the driver bundle instead as it should install it.

I fumbled around with MX-16 Linux and extracted portions of the 32 bit Driver Bundle.

I never did see the newmisc driver but this was in the instructions.txt. It names the driver in case you want to search for it. newmisc.png

Edit: While poking around I opened and read pinstall.bat for 64bit. It said it was for CF-31.

Note: You normally would look for a model with similar cpu and etc.

So if it was me I would take a look at CF-31S where you would find this: http://pc-dl.panasonic.co.jp/dl/sea...]=002001&p1=117&p2=1170409&oc=001020&lang=005.
If I had a working 53S I would probably try it for the fun of it. Both of my S models were broken when I got them. It wasn't my fault. :)

So no warranties expressed or implied....it's just additional information to think about. There are several drivers used by the folks here that were figured out by trial and error to work in a different model than "designed for".

Another thing I saw while searching was some videos by Bob Johnson related to misc installs. Very much worth a look at for the education they provide.

    G'luck.

If all else fails and you really need Windows 7, I'd call up Heartland services and spend $35 for the original restore DVD

how are you install windows? panasonic has the built in recovery partition with the OS 7 x32 or x64- access this from the bios >exit tab> recovery partition and reloads the os wi the panasonic stuff. i have a 53s and looked for this "misc app" folder and did not find it...
