I hope I am posting in the right area, I did check and found that the FZ-G1 came up here a few times.
I was curious what options I would have for a sort of universal docking station for the Panasonic FZ-G1 toughpads as far as something that might fit other models as well.
I did find these - FZ-VEBG11AU, FZ-VEBG11U
But they seem to be specific to just the FZ-G1.
As far as universal ones go, I know they have offerings such as this one from Targus as an example
http://www.targus.com/us/universal-usb-3_0-dv-docking-station-acp70usz
But I would prefer to avoid something that may prematurely wear out the USB ports on the tablet.
The reason for my search is that I am looking into office environment solutions and finding a viable method of replacing some of the desktops with tablets that will be used for travel and then docked in the office for writing reports.
These docks also have to last for a while and not be replaced with every new tablet.
I could be wrong, but I think Dell sort of went with something of a universal docking station for their laptops that takes varying sizes but has the same plug.
Does anyone know if Panasonic is fairly universal with their tablet connector? Also, if I were to go from say a 10.1" tablet to (hypothetical) an 11" or 12" tablet from Panasonic do they make a dock that would fit the other sizes?

Most Panasonic docks are model specific.

I USE A FZ-G1 Desktop Port Replicator : http://business.panasonic.co.uk/computer-product/node/2008460. It has placed to plug in usb keyboard/mouse combo pad, charger port ( uses the same charger to power the dock as the tablet) a ethernet port, and vga out.
