    Would someone please send me the Bios options password so that I might get my GOBI 2000 card to work in my CF-31 - and thank you in advance - Ed

    WE CAN NOT discuss bios password circumventing here (forum rules), but if you are wanting to understand how it is locked we can do that. Are you saying your bios password is locked and you can not access the bios to install or turn on/off the option of GOBI? That is the first screen as soon as the bios is accessed. If that is locked out you are pretty much screwed and it has to be sent in to HEARTLAND to have the motherboard swapped out.

    Newer toughbooks have a second screen that asks for a password to unlock the options in the bios. So even if the bios is fully unlocked that screen is locked by a password that Panasonic put on there to keep people out of the upgrade options. So you are suppose to send it in to a service center.

    Welcome to the forum. There is a lot of good info here if you search and look. Searching this site with google usually turns up better results than the built in search engine.

    I think it is 5 to PM, but I am not sure.

    Just a heads up Google search does not work very well since the board software upgrade.
    You get better results using the built in search
