I bought a CF-31 with no HDD or caddy so I also bought a donor CF-30 for those parts. I need the CF-31 for daily use at work (more questions concerning it and multiboot later!) and was wondering if anyone has had any luck with persistent USB linux installs.

I'm typing this on my OLD CF-50 and think it would be a shame to keep using this and leave the 30 on a shelf somewhere.

"a small usb drive that fits in rear door area"

That's what I had in mind - I already have a Sandisk Cruzer Fit 32gb and was hoping to use it rather find another caddy and hdd.

I have a pair of SanDisk Cruzer CZ33 64GB USB Flash Drive (SDCZ33-064G-B35) in my CF-30. They are very low profile.
