Numbers usually mean some sort of custom wireless build. I found the model number on a German forum. It might be a German sold Toughbook with WWAN from a German service provider.

Here's the rest (Based off ToughWiki):
    Pentium M 753 - 1.2GHz (Centrino) 802.11a/b/g
    10.4 XGA High Bright Touchscreen
    60GB HDD - 512MB RAM - dual ant. connectors
    Windows XP Pro SP2
    Non North America

If it were a Germany distribution, the last character would be " G".

    CF-18KHH62BE

The " E" stands for the United Kingdom & Ireland.

Thanks, i suspect you're right. I have another one to look at with a mystery letter - CF-18KHHEBBE

What is the fourth letter E?

Looking here Decoding Panasonic CF-18 Model Number | Toughbook Central and the pana configurator no use, google found a few sales pages but nothing clearly definitive.

    CF-18KHH62BE:

    CF-18mk4
    Pentium M 1.2Ghz ULV CPU
    Touchscreen LCD
    60Gb HDD
    512mb memory
    802.11a/b/g WLAN
    GPRS WWAN
    Bluetooth
    UK configuration

Corporate Model (the 62 overwrites the usual letters for configuration to denote a customer specific configuration) for a specific customer in the UK.

CF-18KHHEBBE appears to be basically the same model as above, but a non-corporate version.

My CF-30 has the E at the end but is set up for Canada. The -BP at the very end I think stands for the oil company, based in the UK. So at a guess was sent to Canada from UK. The keyboard is US style and the WWAN looks to be for a Canadian telecom company. My 30; CF-30FQSAXAE-BP.

The "6" & "2" are a customer specific number, actually it's "62" which was designated to Anglian Water (UK).

    o.g. << I've got WWAN, but it's not German!>>

ha,ha, there were three posts in the time it took me to type that.

It's just one of those trivial bits of information you collect whilst searching for other info....on CF-29's. :D

Yeah - the letters for country configuration start to get messy with companies who operate in more then one country etc. Either that or it was originally a UK unit and then later at some point retrofitted for Canada.

I would guess that since it's an Australian market CF-19 that the WWAN is a card used in that market. What card it is, I don't know.
