I am looking for some suppliers that buy these laptops from auctions, referbish them or test them, so I can buy used and sell them to my clients. I reside in the Vancouver BC region so, I would like to have a supply of these laptops that can be shipped to me within three days.

The supplier needs to have a good reputation. They need to respond to there calls and emails promptly" So, this is where I am calling on this community who can recommend some suppliers. I will be going to a bunch of automotive shops to sell these laptops and support there networks.

For some reason, I am not getting message from this forum but you can email me direct. Please do not include the brackets in the email or stars as these are to confuse spyderbots.

PLEASE leave your phone number in the email!
    Thanks :)

( 1 ) I under stand what you need BUT you have a lot going against you. For one thing you live in Canada like me so the price just went up double (CF-18/29 @ $150.00 to $300.00) . Some time ago I had a dealer from Toronto, Ontario send me a price list on Toughbooks that he had in stock. The prices were over double what I was paying on ebay and he was selling them in lots of 10 only . For me to pay $3000.00 for 10 CF-29MK2 + S/H  . I would not even pay $100.00 shipped for a 29MK2.

( 2 ) Shipped to you in 3 days...This will not happen if you are buying from the USA. I find that if you are buying from the states and it goes threw Canada Customs it will take at least 3 days for them to check it...if it has a HDD installed in it.

( 3 ) They need to respond to there calls and emails promptly...This all comes with a high price tag. You don't even get that kind of service with the best computer sellers...any where.

If I were you I would just start buying up Toughbooks on ebay at cheap prices and do the upgrades yourself, this will save you hundreds of dollars per laptop

The company I work for - Rugged Depot is TOP 5 in the US for new and refurb's. I can get a CF-29 for you but it will be primo quality with a 90 day warranty. It'll probably be more $$$ than you wanna spend though.

    Thanks!

I think what Lortech is looking for is someone who buys in huge bulk and then sells the after a cursory check to make sure they operate. Lortech needs to make money on the build (if I read his post correctly) He would have a hard time doing that buying from professional refurbisher that sells ready to use laptops. There are plenty on eBay. Here's a hint... Check PRIOR auctions to see what sellers have sold in the past and try to strike up a relationship with them.

Years ago I was buying CF-28s from a police department in the southwest US. This was before eBay forced PayPal on everyone. I would call up the girl with my credit card info and I struck up a sort of friendship. After a few purchases I talked her into emailing me a list of what they were about to put up on eBay. After all... I could save her department money buy avoiding fees in the future! She would send me a list of what she had and the overall condition she would judge them. As a result... The only Toughbooks they ever sold after that were the ones I didn't want. This was back before everyone and their mother started selling custom Toughbooks on eBay. I had quite the operation going for the longest time. <cough> Until this forum got so large! LOL

My advice would also be to check with the disposal units of various agencies around where you live. I wasn't aware that Toughbook with a hard drive were tougher to get into Canada... Perhaps you should buy the Toughbooks without the caddys and drives and then buy those separately.

Rick....it's not really tougher...in Canada things just cost way to much. That is why we buy from the USA

Bit of corn there. In the picture and in the marbling. Little more aging would make a great steak.

Now that is amazing.. You can look at a steak and tell what the cow ate...
I look at it and think grilled in butter with fresh mushrooms.
Or to the point, I look at it and see what I am going to eat....
