    Port Replicator for CF-30

    Will the port replicator for the CF-29 work for the CF-30? and if so any good place to get one cheap?

    edit; I am referring to the desktop model not for a vehicle.

    You will probably get several opinions on this one. In theory, yes it will work as the vehicle docking stations are suppose to work with both. However, the question of functionality comes into play and whether all the functions of the 30 will work on a replicator designed for a 29. I am sure the home guard of the forum will chime in with more substantial findings.

    In regards to finding one cheap...good luck! You may stumble across one by accident, but I have yet to see one "cheap".

    Not sure, I was looking for the part #s for you but can't find the one for the 29. I was able to slap my boss around and he finally allowed me to order one and I have to admit I kinda like it.

    CF-VEB272A2W is the part number for the CF-29 replicator which seems identical to the CF-28 port replicator. The only difference I can see is it comes with a dongle to plug in your ac supply (maybe the replicator uses the CF-28 style plug) and maybe it supports 2.0 usb.

    Toyo what is the part # for the CF-30?

    CF-30 Port Replicator Part# CF-VEB272A2W

    Mine did come with a seperate power plug dongle that you plug the end of your factory charger into. I would assume the replicators all use the same plug, they just send out different plugs for the different models. Cheaper to manufacture that way?

    Back when I had my mk3 cf-29 I bought a CF-28 port replicator for the car and it did NOT work... Just my 2 cents...
