If there's a sticky that covers this in depth then i'm just plain blind to it.

I'm sure this is the same for all toughbooks but i can only draw on my own experience so this is about my 27 - as i understand it, there are 4 covers (including the small power slot) and a carry handle - when the machine is complete these covers make it water resistant right?

My questions are about availability and what these covers / handles are worth - i have just the power adapter cover and the cardbus slots cover on mine, i'm guessing the rest were thrown away years ago. Would it be impossible for me to find more of these covers? Are they very expensive? My card bus cover is never used, i could sell it if they are in high demand?

    Cheers
    Michael

    Michael,
They're not worth much. You can buy a whole CF-27 for less than one CF-28 PCMCIA cover on eBay. If you want parts PM me, Ill have a cd drive dug out for you in an hour or so.
