    Hi all!
Im from Spain and i wanted to say hi to everybody and also i would like to ask your opinion about what laptop to buy. Im not sure about this 3 models:

1.- CF-28 PIII 800 with touchscreen (for pen not digitizer), GPS, 512 RAM and 30GB.
    2.- CF-18 Intel Centrino 1,2Mhz, with digitizer screen, 512 RAM and 40Gb
3.- CF-29 Intel Centrino 1,2Mhz, touchscreen (not digitizer), 512 RAM, 40Gb and DVD.

The 3 of them have wireless and are in a very good condition (the gps one is $300 more than the others).

Its going to be a laptop to use outside of the house, for inside i have faster ones.

Thank you very much in advance for your help.

If you are going to use the unit in bright sunlight; I'm told that the 29 is better in that regard. I've only had the 29, so I can't make a direct comparison with other Panasonic models.

I will say that my 29 is more viewable outdoors than my Fuji 5031 tablet which advertises daylight viewable.

I have a CF-28 with TS, and love it. It does everything I need and more. That said, I would not think that GPS would make it worth more than the CF-29 with the DVD - that adds a lot to the picture, even without a faster processor. I don't have a 29, but would like that DVD extra. I say use the extra $300 to add GPS (and other goodies) to the 29.

My 2 cents (about .001 centavos I guess at current exchange rates).

You'll find endless ideas of things to do with the 28 here so that's a nice choice if you are planning on adding lots of different capabilities. Strontium can give you lots of good information about the 18 but personally, I would go with the 29 if you don't plan on changing it much.

What kinds of things are you planning on using it to do? That will influence the decision a bit.

Get the 29 and add GPS and DVD R/W nstead of DVD Rom. The screen is SOOOOO much brighter! Speed-wise the 29 is a litle faster than the 28 especially if you swap in a 7200 rpm hard drive.

If you want ANY help in the future you MUST post back and let us know what your decision is! ;)

I would have recommended the CF-18 because of it's ability to use tablet pc and inking. That's what I think my next toughbook would be. To be able to use it to write down everything instead of a notebook (and draw pictures if you are an artist) seems like a huge plus. Also it's lighter. Good luck with your choice.

It really comes down to what the user is doing. In this case, answer is using it outside primarily, which to me says he won't be using it for anything that a tablet would be exclusively better at.
