I just installed a MC7700 WWAN card in my CF-19 MK5. It's not being recognized by Windows and isn't showing up in the device manager. I checked the bios for an option to enable/disable the mini pci-e slot but there was none. Also, the rear usb port which is on the same board is acting really finicky. It doesn't recognize my flash drive but it works fine with my wireless mouse, so I'm thinking maybe the hole board needs to be replaced. Any thoughts? Thanks.

You should have a wireless switch in your system tray... Is your WWAN enabled there? Also... What version of Windows are you running?

Look for Wireless->WWAN, not mini pci-e slot.
Check the hardware switch under the laptop's left side cover. Ok, it's enough :))

    Thanks for the replies.

I don't see anywhere in the system tray that allows me to turn on the WWAN card, Windows doesn't acknowledge that I plugged in the card at all, I'm running Windows 10 Pro x64.
There's no option for WWAN in the bios either, if you're referring to the wifi switch next to the SD card slot, it's on. Thanks for the suggestions. A friend has a CF-19 so I'm gonna try swapping the pcb with the WWAN slot and see if that fixes it. I know the card is fine because I tested it with a different laptop.

Is it a WWAN card from a Panasonic?

But did it come out of a Toughbook?
It will be very challenging to get one out of another brand laptop to work. Hp and Thinkpads for sure.

I ordered it new on ebay, there was no mention of what brand laptop it's for. When I had it plugged in to a different laptop to test it, I successfully loaded the latest firmware from the Panasonic website.

I accessed the Optional Kit and it says Wireless WAN ID and in the dialogue box it says ff. Is there something else I need to put in there to activate the WWAN card?

Try 4 or 04 (which will probably come up a 4 anyway) ff is zero as I understand it. (Zero as in NO WWAN)
Then F9 then F10. (set to defaults and save)
That's the limits of my understanding it....more information in the search box at upper right of this page.

You can try all sorts of numbers... Should be easy to solve there... Mine was set to 4... I tried 1, then 2, then 3.... I hit on 3 being for Verizon. My WWAN card fired up.

Now... You need to make sure that Panny and Win 10 aren't both trying to switch the card... That was my issue. The Wireless switch (yellow lightning bolt in sys tray) switches it on... But then VZ manager and Win 10 both wanted to try to control the card... I had to uncheck the box that said, "Let windows control this"... Then my card worked!

Thanks guys, I set it to 4 and it's working perfectly now. What's the best software to use fore these, the built in Windows 10 manager, the Sierra, or the AT&T software?

And for anyone else who's interested, I used a standard non oem MC7700 with the Panasonic firmware flashed onto it. Firmware is available here: http://business.panasonic.com/support-computerstablets-otherdownloads-wirelesscarrier

Personally I would download VZManager from the Panasonic website directly. Or from Sierra... Install and tell Windows it ain't runnin' the show!

Win10 connection manager is very good as you can see on your screenshot. If you switch it to manual mode, without automatic connects.
