Hi community, new to these forums!
Been having some trouble with my newly purchased used CF-18. Since i bought it from a co-worker ive been diving deep into resources and playing around with my new toy but the touch screen just wont work at all. Im not sure if this is a hardware failure or because of the windows 7 instead of the stock windows xp but ive tried downlading fujitsu/wacom drivers and it ends up not working or disabling my mouse altogether!! currently under mouse and other pointing devices it uses synapstics and when i updated it with a fujitsu driver it messed everything up and i had to restore, im not exactly a whiz at this either. Does anyone have any suggestions on what i could do? I really just want the touchscreen to work.

If you have a spare hard drive, load Linus Mint on it and test the touchscreen. CF-18 are known for touchscreen failure, so it could be a hardware issue.
