Its been a while since I posted anything here. But I have been keeping up on posts.

I have been farming 10 to 12 hour days for the last month and very happy with my CF30 M2 and the docking stations.

First product review, Earlier (before harvest) the wife and I took several mini vacation and really loved the Tough Book preference and used it plenty. So to aid in the packing and loading crap in and out of hotels I recently found this CF30 Tough Mate sling case. Love-in it, It list for around $90 but I think this ebay was a little better price. To anyone interested I feel it is well worth $32. It will hold changers, cords and cables and other accessories.

I have been using my wwan card and paying for the G3 data service and happy. My AT&T plan was ok price and average G3 speed. But a few weeks ago my old Motorola Tundra phone finally shot crapes after 6 years. So I had to upgrade to a smart phone. I went with a Samsung Rugbi Pro. Still getting use to it and happy I guess. But what has me excited it the 4G hot-spot capability it has. I now have canceled the CF30 data connection and now access internet through my hot-spot of my phone data program. A few more dollar to have a data plan for the new phone but that cost is offset when not needing the data plane for the CF30 sim. very happy with this move.

I was wondering if anyone is using a wireless mouse with their Tough Books? I feel I could use one most of the time. My question is can the wireless dongle work if plug in the back of the CF30 with the door closed, If it will fit. Or will it have to be installed in the right side USB port? Anyone with this experience???

If your laptop has bluetooth built-in - choose bluetooth mouse.
There are 2 trade-offs for me using phone as hot-spot:
    1) phone battery discharges very fast;
    2) usually data and voice can't coexist, so when you are using your phone for voice your data will stop. Maybe this clause is not actual for 4G, I can't test it. It's so for 3G.

They make one case labeled for the CF-30 and another for the CF-31. I recommend getting the one for the CF-31. It's almost identical but slightly larger, making it easier to clip shut.

"My question is can the wireless dongle work if plug in the back of the CF30 with the door closed"

i recently tried using my bluetooth mini usb in the back of my '30 with the door closed ... nada .
stands to reason ... when the door is closed it pretty much makes it a farady cage .

Hardwire the bluetooth dongle to an internal port. Stick the dongle(probably remove plastic case)in the cover for the wwan sled or maybe under one of the lcd rubber corners.

    Thanks all for your input,

My 4G data connection will allow me to take and receive calls plus internet simultaneously.

Using the hotshot will eat up the battery life, but I have found it not to be a problem. But the times I use it as a hotshot is usually not for long periods. (So far anyway)

I got the CF30 Sling Carrying case and it is a bit tight but not a problem and I'm sure after using it more it will become easier to snap the clips closed. Still love it ether way.

Have not got a wireless mouse yet. I like the idea of the Mogo mouse but it don't look like I can close the PCMCI door with mouse/card inside while in transit. I would think with the door open and the mouse sticking out looks like a potential for disaster. I my be wrong here.

I am looking for a mini mouse or at least low profile with 4 or 5 button with scroll that will fit in the Sling carrying case.

MoGo mouse will fit completely inside the pc-card slot with door closed, for charging. It is very handy and works surprisingly well, but only has 2 buttons. At home I use a battery powered BT optical mouse with scroll wheel/button.
