    Hello,

I recently installed Windows 7 64 bit on my CF-19 MK4. Everything went well, everything works, no devices show missing/errors in device manager. The ONLY driver that I could not and still cannot install is the "AMT" driver. After doing a lot of research I realize this feature is USELESS to me but I am curious as to why it won't install.

Do all Intel i5 processors with vpro have access to AMT? When I try to install it it says my system does not meet the minimum requirements. Bios shows no indication of AMT.

I am planning on ordering a restore disk from Rob next week. If I screwed up the driver install order and AMT should work I will do a restore but I would rather not as I installed all my software programs already.

    Any advice would be appreciated,

    Thanks.

    Have you done these steps?

I don't need AMT too so I have not tried it :)

It's strange you can't find it in BIOS. Maybe it's a special one :)

On my CF-19MK5 it's under Security (5th BIOS screen) at the very bottom. It will tell you " Supervisor password is required to enter this Sub-Menu ".

I tried to follow those steps but Windows 7 already has NetFramework 3.5 installed and wouldn't let me reinstall it.

    My CF-19 is an MK4 with bios V 4.00L11

    Under Security I have:

    -Setup Utility Prompt: E/D

    -Boot Popup Menu: E/D

    Password on Boot: E/D

    Password on Resume: E/D

Boot Device on Hibernation Resume: Various Options

    Set Supervisor Password

    Hard Disk Lock: E/D

    User Password Protection: Y/N

    Set User Password

    Embedded Security (TPM)
    -Sub Menu Protection: Y/N
    -TPM Configuration
    -TPM State - E/D
    -Pending TPM operation - options

    -Current TPM Status Information
    -TPM Enabled Status - E/D
    - TPM Active Status
    - TPM Owner Status

    No mention of AMT.

On the Panasonic website it shows that I have the latest bios version. Would there be any benefit of me running the bios utility they provide again or would that lead to potentially bricking my CF-19?

I'll almost bet that if you enable AMT in BIOS, it will then install.

That's the thing, there is NO mention of AMT in my bios at all. I only have TPM no AMT option underneath.

I notice your bios is a different version then mine. Any idea where you got the updated version? Mine shows as the latest the panasonic site offers.

Well I FINALLY figured this out.

When I got my CF-19 I pulled the card that the bluetooth module/wwan connect to and replaced it as it didn't come with bluetooth and I had one with it already attached. I decided to try to swap that card back and put the bluetooth module on it and tada, AMT is now in bios.

Funny, all that so I can disable it lol.
