    Hello,
I am new in this forum. I recently purchased CF-31 MK3. I am planning to add 2nd HDD into the media bay to expand storage HDD. I ordered universal 2nd HDD with SATA/IDE, but the location of the 2nd HDD was totally off from the connection of media bay.
    https://www.ebay.com/itm/12-7mm-Uni...683893?hash=item4677723435:g:hIEAAOSwehVak6IR

Then, I read many threads in this forum, but I could not figure out what stuffs I need to make 2nd HDD for my CF31. Do I need CF-31 DVD unit to make 2nd HDD set up? Or I can just buy the cable only to connect 2nd HDD and my CF31?

I also found another website. According to the website, they are selling 2nd HDD for CF-31, but they said that I need DVD unit from CF=31.

    I appreciate a lot!

Thanks for deleting another thread. I was trying to delete, but I could not figure out how to do it.....
ok. I am glad to order the DVD unit then. I have another thing I am searching. 2nd hdd caddy.
Should I get IDE/ IDE hdd caddy or sata/ide caddy because so many thread talked about SATA/IDE set up did not work.
However, the website I mentioned said that their HDD caddy is sata set up. So I am wondering which caddies I should buy.
The safest bet is that I buy 2nd hdd caddy from the the hddcaddy.eu, but it seems higher than universal 2nd hdd caddy. Thanks a lot!

First, get a SATA to SATA drive adapter. Forget anything IDE.

Second, you will need an original DVD drive assembly.
You need to remove the DVD drive itself and replace it with the 2nd hard drive/DVD adapter.
