    Hi,

I could get a CF-27, painted in green with a "white on black" Belgacom Logo
I did read that some time ago Belgacom did sell their Toughbooks and I want to ask if anybody
got one or know which Model it could be?

I read about a special CF-27 Model with the Number CF-27LBA59ZL which, according to the author, should be a 500Mhz version.

In the Toughbook Configurator I couldnt get informations about that Model-Number because he didnt find it :-(

Did Belgacom use always the same model?

Do you know if there are more Belgacom CF-27s for sale (in Belgium or Holland) ?

if you cant find the config number on the bottom of your CF-27, you might try to look at the BIOS screen. I have a CF-27 mark 1 (266Mhz pentium 1) and a mark 2 (300Mhz pentium 2). Both without touchscreen. My Mark 1 has a black screen-cover, and my mark 2 a silver one.

No - sorry - its only a single CF-27 from a private person here in Germany.
I could see the BIOS-number when it arrives at my door :) The person who did sell this computer isnt very firm with computers :-(

Yes :) directly this one would be mine - I already paid for this Belgacom CF-27...

EDIT: The Belgacom CF-27 has arrvied me at home :)

    cf27_belgacom_2.jpg

There was only the onboard 64MB, no HDD and the BIOS has a password.
Inserted 128MB PC100, inserted a 60GB IDE in the HDD-Frame and cleared the password in DOS-Mode
Now it is running Windows 2000 Professional (where I had to update teh root-certificate to get Windows-Update working).

Soundcard isnt working (ESS Allegro 1988 - seems to be a Problem on many Belgacom CF-27)
If I install a ESS Driver Win2000 did hang at boot and I have to disable the soundcard in the BIOS to start Windows.

The Video-Driver didnt work right out of the Box, but I did find a Version from Packard-Bell which works on my Silicon Motion LynxEM

The BIOS tells me something about Touchscreen, but I didnt see it in the Windows-Hardware-Manager.

And I dont know how to find out something about the internal Wireless (GSM?) Modem which has a IMEI and a SIM-Slot near the HDD/Battery.
