    Hi,

If you own one of these laptops, can you tell me: does the case material feel highly metallic like the aluminum Apple laptops, or does it feel less metallic than that?

    Thanks!

I own a W5 and a Y7. My son has an (older) aluminum MacBook. the W5 & Y7 do not feel anything like the aluminum chassis of the Mac. Also if you watch eBay adds, you will from time to time see damaged units. The damage exhibits more plastic than metal characteristics.
