Does anyone know if I-Guidance 4.0 needs to be "deregistered" so that I can uninstall it any reinstall it on another laptop? I am selling my personal CF-29 that is maxxed out and buying a CF-30 in the next week or two. (Yeah, it sucks to be me.)

I don't want to just uninstall it and then find out I can't reinstall it. I could swear I read something about that when I was installing it. But my shop looks like a tornado hit it and I can't find my install disk at the moment and there is no mention of it on the installed components. I Googled it and couldn't find anything about it. This would lead me to belive that I would be fine in doing it. But I need to know for sure. I don't want to blow $100 by being careless!

    Anyone know for sure?

    Support Sux, September 12, 2007

OK I upgraded to INAV 4 from INAV3 no biggie and I'm not sure why I even wanted V4. But it has opened my eyes to an extremely unfriendly support services. With this product you MUST activate the software. Through various methods you have 2 and only 2 keys. You can move the keys between PC and all is well... However if you have 2 hard drive failures within a week (Laptop & Desktop) hit by lightning. You have lost both activation keys. Calling support they did bend and made a 3rd key available. Points for them on that. Now as most users would do knowing now how the activation works.. I tried moving, deactivating the key around. I was using a USB thumb drive. I also have a USB hard drive so I tried the manual move with the hard drive. Unloading the key worked fine. But when I tried to move to a second PC it failed to recognise any key on my USB hard drive. So now I am stuck... I contacted INAV support and was told I shouldnt be trying to "hack" their code.. Total jerks accusing me of illeagle actions!!! Then I was told that a USB thumb drive is the only "supported" method of moving the key and that nowhere in the activation manual does it say I could use a USB hard drive. What the HELL is the difference a USB drive hard or digital should work... WRONG!! Then they say I have to just buy another INAV V4. Screw them I'm buying OCN6 from On Course!! They have lost a customer and anyone who will listen to me AVOID INAV!!!!!!!!!!! Comment (1) | Permalink | Was this review helpful to you? (Report this)

Well... It looks like I'll need to call them before I do anything... Just to make sure.
