    Hello folks,
I have been reading here for a long time already and finally ordered my first Thougbook (CF-19FLGCXAG
Intel Core2Duo U7500 (2x1.06GHz), 3GB RAM, 320GB HDD). It came with Vist Pre-installed and now I consider moving to Win10 with a fresh install.
Let's put the privacy / spy issues aside for now regarding Windows 10 and I would like to get some feedback from people running W10 on a CF-19 mk2. What is not working properly (front keys, hot key, GPS etc.)? Or ist possible to keep everything functional in W10?

Front buttons seem to be a common issue.
I am sure others will chime in or use the search box in the upper right.
I suggest searching for CF 19 win 10

Yeah I took a look around but not really some reliable info about that. In general there are many complains about running W10 on the CF-19.
So I decided to give it a try and was able to get everything working except three front buttons (brightness & lock working well).
    How can I resolve this?

Beats me...I have no clue other than run Win7.
The front buttons on a CF19 are very finicky and difficult to get working.

Before doing this do a full backup to another drive just to be safe. I don't think anyone here has done a CF-19MK2 W10 upgrade yet.

One of the things you need to do something with is the auto update of the drivers. It seams W10 thinks it knows which drivers to use and this can be a big problem on Toughbooks.

Hi all I run win 10 pro on my CF 18s. the best way I found was to get win 7, preferably installed and all drivers and functions running then do a in place upgrade. After that almost all my buttons worked, if not I reinstalled the drivers that didn't work mostly rotate screen and SD card, after couple on windows updates works like a charm. Sometimes the win 10 updates will messed up a little, but couple restarts usually fixes it. Make a good system restore point of working system.

That is the impression I got as well reading through the search results. Well I did now and had success :)
After doing a fresh install of W10 Professional x86 there were a few devices not recognized. Searching for the device ID that cannot find a driver will provide you from which driver file you get the neccessary .inf file.
There are two things I wanna mention: the front button driver need to be installed with the .bat file from the driver pack. Only chosing the .inf file in device manager won't make it work! The batch file registers a .dll and set some registry keys as well.
All the hotkey-related files I took from the mk3. They are native Win7 files and installed them without any compatibility settings in the correct order as instructed.
Now really everything works flawless and I can notice an increase in performance as well.
Of course, afterwards not forget to take care of the spyware on board ;)

    1. Negative comments on a program are just as important as positive. In other words don't just read the comments that agree with what you are doing. (This is in response to your early 2 posts) Not a slam...just saying)
    2. Thank you for coming back and posting your positive results.
    3. If there is any question on my motives read the red part of my signature below.....IOW don't tell ME what I can't do....... :) I LIKE your attitude and tenacity.

Thanks for the report. BTW I rarely LIKE anything. :D

Hi all finally i updated my cf19 mk2 to win 10 64bit. Everything works including the front button after updating the drivers. Now I would try to change the wwan card now a Novatel eu870d but I have a Gobi 3000 from Lenovo but I can not find drivers for win10. I do not know if it is possible to install this card I searched for google and read unfavorable opinions.Confirm the Phoenix tricks are very usefull... If anyone has info they would be very appreciated thanks.
