Yes it is identical to what's inside. I opened my CF-VZSU1428 to verify. You must use the CF-VZSU14B:) battery not the CF-VZSU14 :( or CF-VZSU14A :( . The B version is 11.1 volts and the other versions are 10.6 volts.

I think a CF-VZSU25 would also work and they are a higher capacity, but they seem to be made of unobtainium. They are listed as an extended run battery for the CF 72.

    Excuse the crap photo.

2 screws and remove the foam from around the battery. I got a dead one from a board member. This price for a CF 72 battery is a good deal for used. New ones cost as much as a new media bay battery. If your planning on getting a media bay battery you may want to grab the CF 72 battery now. Good used ones don't come up as often as the CF 29 and CF 50 ones do. I am sure you can get a dead media bay battery here cheap. I paid about $10.00 shipped.
I will have $35.00 invested in a working 2nd battery. New will cost about $100.00

Next chapter I will tell how I got an emissive chicklit keyboard for $22.00

Ad says good used. I did not receive it yet, but you can't rebuild the CF 72 battery or the standard CF 29 battery. It would need the chip reset and no one has figured out how to do that. Many have tried replacing the cells with no joy.

yeah that's why I settled for the non pani blue tab on the 29. It gets 5 hrs in a a/c room and I made it a habit to not connect the p/s till it was almost dead and gone. I guess I will see what this battery it came with is like. Still in need of a cord and not sure if the $14 ebay ones a re worth it. Project wise I barely use the dvd player in my 29.

I guess I've missed something here.

    Which "cord" are you needing?

    Is it related to this?

If it is, according to Lind Electronics it takes the same AC power supply as the CF-29: the Lind AC Power Adapter - Model # AC90-PA .

Look for one of these. CF-VKBL01. They are all backlit. Some are the standard keyboard, but backlit (only used in the remote keyboard case)and some are the chicklit style. Mine is the chicklit style.
Pulled the keyboard out and it plugged right in to my CF 29.

    Shoulda held your breath!!!
