Does anyone have a patch for this handy? On www.panasonic.ca a patch to fix this exact problem in the CF-29 is listed, but I'm having the exact same problem with a CF-28, and the 29 patch won't allow me to use it.
As of right now, if I have the Serial Ball Mouse enabled, the machine interprets GPS data as mouse movement data and erratically moves the cursor and clicks around.

Based on a post I found through searching, I changed the COM port from 4 to 7, and it hasn't started going crazy yet, what is the relationship between the Serial Ball Mouse and the GPS? If the mouse is disabled are both disabled?
Strange situation. -
They share the same COM port from what I understand, and because the GPS sends serial commands (Just like a mouse), it'll screw with your pointer.
I eventually found a .pdf doc from Panasonic suggesting to use a port like 5, 6, or 7.
If you disable the mouse, it will stop the shaking pointer, but it's nice to have the trackpad once in a while.
Registry patch needed to stop Windows XP from detecting CF-28 GPS as a Serial Ball Mouse
