Hello,
I've bought the screenpatronus protector to replace the faded and scratched (original?) screen protector on my recently acquired CF-29 with touchscreen.
Unfortunately, it doesn't come with instructions how to remove the old one. Has anybody done this?

Julep... Welcome to our forums!
Yes... This is something that has been done many times here. If you search you may find a few fairly lengthy thread on how to do this.
Briefly.... I start on the upper right corner. You need to be VERY careful that you do not scratch or pierce the touchscreen when trying to pry up the screen protector that is installed. I use a wooden toothpick or a very pointy dental pick while wearing a 10x magnifying headset. Once you get the top right corner pulled up... You should slowly and evenly peel it back diagonally to the lower left corner. The laptop should be room temperature... Nothing under 55F or over 100F... If you stop in the middle of the peel or suddenly speed up or slow down the peeling process you may leave a "Holographic Smudge" on the screen. It will dimly sparkle many colors if viewed at different angles but will disappear when the laptop is turned on. It is not something that happens all the time but will happen if you do not peel evenly and slowly.
Now... To install the new one... You will need to obviously make sure there is no dust on the touchscreen surface or on the back of the screen protector. This is VERY difficult because as you peel the back off the screen protector.. It gets charged with static electricity. As does the touchscreen surface under some conditions.) So... What many do is to do this in your bathroom.Get everything cleaned and ready and then close yourself in your bathroom. Turn the shower on the hottest setting and the faucet(s) too. Allow steam to build up in the shower for about 5-10 minutes. This will take all the dust out of the air and d rid the parts of static. Then it is a matter of trial and error in fitting the protector. I've never installed one exactly even the first time... It takes a few tries. Just don't let the edges go until you are sure the edge of the screen protector will not scrape against the metal screen bezel. If you try to force the screen protector behind the bezel... You will bend and crease the protector.
I think that about covers it... Not so brief after all.
