Hi All, Hope someone can help. After the screen on my CF29 died I purchased a used replacement (ebay of course).

This new screen unit has the WIFI antenna on the top left (facing), whereas the original did not. On installing I noted three antenna wires - white and black - as original - as well as an additional blue that was not on the original screen.

Just to get up and running I connected the white and black and left the blue disconnected. Anyone have any ideas where the blue wire would go? There is a micro connection next to the white wire connection, but I didn't want to plug that before gettting an opinion.

BTW, wireless is working fine now but still I would like to know what that darn blue wire is. Thanks!!

The third blue wire is for WWAN antena. It is suppose to be connected to the pasthru connector and both antena for wi-fi must be connected to the male u.fl connector located on the keyboard connector board. Then it require an opening of the buttom cover of your unit coz you need to pull out the jumper wire from the passthru connector and fish it out above thru the slot then connect it to the u.fl connector beneath keyboard connector pcb board.

To make it easy for you just put a plastic tape on the third connector (blue wire) and secure it on one place. And to what you have done to the two cable its fine.

Yes, but where does it connect? Next to the white wire? It's the only other micro connector I can see?

Thanks much for the advice. I did tape it and lay it across the back and will leave well enough alone as it's back to working fine. Good to have my toughbook back!!!!!
