I have a CF-29 with the PCMCIA WWAN option installed, but the conector for the seirra card is damaged, I have orded a new one and wondering what the least disruptive way of replacing the cable is, Ive been told that it connects to the rear io pcb, so what is the easiest way of getting to the conector?? the top or bottom and anything that makes life a little easier???

which cable are you referring to? Do you mean the one from the modem sled to the pass through PCB? if so just remove the bottom cab

    hello

i found some connectors, SMB nano or SSMB, was fit into a sierra aircard. but the specific pics to the websites shows a different diameter of the plug. the original plug what comes with the card is about 4,5mm diameter. what´s the right thing now? and the length of the (right angle) plug is also important to close the case...

You might be able to access all of the cable from the bottom, but I think you may have to pull at least one of the boards to snake the cable through if you are trying to get it back into the PCMCIA holder.
