I've got a cf-31 screen with some screen rubs from a previous owner's use of the touchscreen. Nothing terrible, but are there pros out there who can replace the protector? I looked into doing it myself back in my cf-29 days, and concluded I'd probably end up making things worse since I'd be doing it for the first time.
Thanks.
Addendum: Or, if you've done it yourself and think it's not that difficult to do it right, even the first time, let me know.

Mine was not perfect the first and only time. I followed member Toughbook's advice and did it in a steamy bathroom, which did help a lot. Got a difficult but small bubble and 1 hair trapped near the middle. After that, I usually just peeled off damaged protectors and used the screen bare. Glass is tougher than plastic, just be careful.

Thanks Springfield--I rarely if ever use my touchscreen, and if I do it's with my finger. So I may just go with the bare glass as well.

It's not a gorilla-glass or something like that. Use touch screen protector when possible.
There may be 1 little grain of sand on your finger, and you'll scratch that glass. Use shampoo to install a screen protector. There are manuals all over the net -
Ask Rick, aka Toughbook, he has done a lot of them. I personally never bother with them as I never use the touchscreen.

Thanks safn1949. When you say you never bother with them, do you mean you've removed the protector with no ill effects, or you've just left them on and not messed with them?

Also a screen is too glossy/reflective without panasonic matte screen protector.
I don't like the idea of buying expensive genuine screen protectors, mostly because I'm not sure I can handle their installation process) But I sometimes order 3rd party screen protectors with installation service included
non-matte though. It's ~25$ here in Odessa, UA.

Being installed by that service I'm buying it from.
They tell it's a copy of Zagg invisibleshield film. -
