So how do I get the SD card reader to work?? When I try and open the SD card reader set up program within the Panasonic file all I get is "Set the SD card in place!" I have inserted a SD card and the computer wont read it any ideas??

Have you downloaded the User's Manual for this.... Not trying to be a smart-*** but there are a TON of things explained in there.

It should read just like an external/removable drive. You can also set up security that involves it.

If you do not have one (IE, your OS was not loaded via Recovery Disks which automatically includes this) I can email you one.

I get the same thing, the stock Panasonic app never acknowledges there is a card in the reader, I get the same error message. I thought at first the system did not recognize it but the card shows up in My Computer and I can see the files on it.
Double check in My Computer to be sure it's not there. If you have access to an external reader, or a reader on another machine you may try formatting it.

Check your BIOS too to see if there are anythings in there than may have not been enabled.

If you can't see it under my computer. Go to device manger and go down to the sd card reader and uninstall it. Reboot and let the computer find it again.
There is a patch to download if your using over 1Gb. Patch will work up to 32GB. There is a driver on panasonics web sight for the device.
