Anyone have an opinion on keeping or tossing the HD heater when you upgrade to an ssd drive. They seem to operate at a higher range and there is no moving parts so do you think is nessary to keep them. Do you think there is an idle power draw for the heater?

Keep it. It won't hurt anything. The heater is off unless it is needed.

I know there is a couple threads on this but I think the heater only comes on when you first start the Toughbook only if needed...I think Mnem or Cap said this
