Hello together,
does anyone have experiences with above-mentioned subject?
I wanted to buy a SSD a year ago, but the seller stated that the drive would not run because of power issues.

Not personally, no. But there is a member that makes sata caddies for the CF-18.
I can however say that SSD works great on my CF-29 MK4 -
Alright, now i'm intrigued. who is this wizard and how can i contact him?
-
is this a member or a website?
-
yes he is, search for his name and you'll find him

Thank you!

If you're interested, this is my CF-29 SSD thread.
While the CF-29 is bigger, the hardware is similar. You might find something interesting there.

Good job on this one. Since I don't use my TB in military operations and such, I think I'll stick with my Samsung160 or wait until I can grab a cheap PATA SSD.

In my old CF-18 I used this adapter:
ebay
It's more expensive, but you don't have to solder, because the connectors are on the "right" side
and It just worked perfect with an Samsung SSD. -
