I just learned from an unrelated forum about the late 2016 bios upgrade. I then downloaded bios_sx21w_r160203.exe directly from Panasonic. This exe file should extract the actual files to upgrade the bios. When I tried to run it just to extract the files, Norton didn't just warn me, it immediately deleted the original file. Here is part of the message:

Threat type: Insight Network Threat. There are many indications that this file is untrustworthy and therefore not safe

I have not been having problems with my SX2 and couldn't find release notes on this upgrade. I guess I could just skip it, though bios upgrades are rare and usually there is some good reason for them.

    Anyone know about this?

Something I learned a long time ago is you always disable any antivirus you have installed when upgrading your bios. At one time Panasonic always noted this.
