I just tore off the mylar screen protector on my CF-28. There is a brand new screen under all that crap. four layers of semi transparent plastic make the screen look terrible. first theres the screen protector then a bunch of glue then the touchscreen membrane then glue then 1/16 Glass then glue then Some kind of plastic reflector. I took this all off and the screen looks like one of them newfangled gloss type screens. It's beautiful drop dead gorgeous Now. But now i've lost touchscreen capabilities because I can't go back.
But the true reason for writing all this is that now my toughbook ain't so tough with its exposed lcd so I did some thinking and went to the Picture framing store and got them to make me a new cover out of optical glass. Its really thin glass you need the thinest they got or it won't fit you can get all different options too like matt finish or glare resistance and things.
    So There.
