This is a great video on how to apply a screen protector.
Their method seems better than anything I have tried before.
I just bought 2 of these protectors for the D1. I have not installed it yet.

They are available on Newegg and Amazoon.
With shipping it was about $25.00 USD for 2 of them.

They have Glossy, Matte, and Shock Absorbing Impact.
I chose the Matte one to reduce glare.

I don't believe the method shown really works. Dust will get there 100%.
I'm paying USD 20 (film+work) for "armored" film. It's transparent. My contractor is using "liquid" way. 40 minutes to install plus 2-3 days for all bulbs to disappear.

I'm assuming he means spray the screen with soap water and install on that. water won't compress like air does, so it's easier to chase bubbles out.

I always try to install screen protectors in the bathroom after somone took a hot shower. the steam helps keep down the dust/stray micro hairs

They use some mixture, I agree it's most likely based on soap water. I really like the result and don't want more experiments with different screen protectors and dust :))
Transparent film is more suitable for FZ-G1 screen vs CF-19's one, where you may want to have matte film.

I applied it using lcd panel cleaner spray.

    I cleaned lcd first.
    Then again,
then attached protector with tape tabs.
Blew dust off again with a Giotto rocket blower.
A couple light squirts of the liquid
    Then I applied protector
A few dust particles and a tiny hair on one edge.
Those are all due to my experience or lack of.

The matte protector itself is nice quality and fits perfectly.
