I`m looking for a suitable antenna for higher power WIFI in my CF-28.
I have an EnGenius EMP-8602+S I would like to install but I don`t want to fry it using the Antenna hack I have performed.
I have the CDPD Antenna which is around 7.5" long .
I`d rather use a stock looking antenna if possible.
I read that there are Shorter WIFI antennae made for the 28.
    Anyone have anything suitable lurking?
Obviously I`ll pay the current rate plus shipping costs.
My TB model is.. CF-28STJGEDM which is about to receive a MOBO transplant from a recently purchased 512 onboard machine.
(alongside a Custom toughbook GPS UBLOX 6 Module I have already installed-just waiting on the patch Antenna!--mod details to follow soon)
Cheers for reading this rather long winded request!
    Joe..

Helo, i used the original outdoor wireless antenna, with the right modify, connected it to the wifi card it works nice now, keep in ind that the power coming out of the wifi board is at maximum 600mW, anyway under the Watt of rf, with a SWR of 3 (very bad antenna) the power that's going back to the transmitter is 25% of the total power emitted, so in the worst case just about 250mW of power, that isn't enough to burn a transistor or any other component.

In the worst case you will have a bad working antenna, with lot of signal loss.
