Should I bring my CF-31 with Cellular data to a carrier store to get a plan?

On my CF-31 I’ve been getting stuff for it. A dock for the Dodge to replace from my aging 29 that I sold. This is now the main project. I’ve added a new keyboard, gave it nice in depth clean. I even took out the motherboard and under there there was dust so I cleaned that. Took it to a place that could powder coat a camo look but they couldn't (any recommendations in the RDU area? Im also free to ship around to a guy that has experience.) For the moment it is stock lid. I love this

Now. I have cellular for this. I also on the trip to Idaho found that my kids like to play browser games on it (aka flash games) and I couldn’t so I needed to be connected to a network. But hey at least they could have fun with phones. Now back this. I was wondering should I bring this into a place that could help out with this to give it a sim?

You can if you want to take the 31 in and show it off. :) All you should need to do is get an add-on data plan with your cell phone carrier and a sim card (should get it with the data plan). The person you are dealing with should be able to provide the info you need to set up the software in your OS. The main thing is the "APN - Access Point Name". That is all I needed to set up the network manager in Linux.
Make sure the unit is off when you insert the sim card. Once inserted, fire the unit up, when on the desktop open your network manager (or whatever Billy calls it) and enter the info it asks for. When done inputting the info, click connect. Done. Simple. HTH :)

Diamond powder coat in Austin TX will powder coat lids. They have done quite a few for me so they are familiar. Not sure if they have a camo finish.

CF-31 powdercoat plans are coming up. Along with even more. Planning to put a second battery

Here’s how I got this. I was at a computer store and he said he had a boxed unit and he gave me that. I paid 2000 CAD around March April. One of my fellow friends from the RCAR (short for royal Canadian Air Force) has got a tricked out 31 with hazardous locations. But hey a guy in Tacoma WA said he could powder coat this a nice camo style like the US Army. And added a unlimited data for the toughbook with a Ubuntu Win8.1 dualboot.

I just sent the 31 to a guy in Tacoma WA. I called him up and he said he’ll do it for $500. It’ll be back in around a week. Hopefully he will send the Asian snacks, Vietnam War in color, and much more promised. Btw he didn’t have a company for this. He does it for fun and he’s a good friend of mine from the RCAR (mentioned above what that is).
