    They will certainly keep the beer in the toughbook holder COLD!

    I do not prefer cold beer, but some of the security geeks do.

    Disclaimer:
    I was there.
    All models are over 18

    HEH! I REMEMBER THOSE !!!

    The most effective one we had was also one of the simplest;

    (And of course, MY OWN design)

    It consisted of a 35 gal steel drum and 35 foot coil of copper tubing; filled full of water then frozen in the cafeteria deep-freeze. Pour your room-temp beer in the funnel at the top, and if you didn't dally, you had plenty of time to get the glass down to the outlet. At first it was by far the most effective, doing very little damage to the beer, but it did get to the point (after a couple hours) of needing to hold your thumb over the end for a minute. THEN we got the bright idea of sticking it in a garbage can and pouring another contestant's "exploding-beer machine" dry ice over it all - 16 blankets and 1/2 hour later - BAM - we were back in business.

    Beer is the mind-killer. Beer is the little death that brings total obliteration.
    I will face my beer. I will permit it to pass over me and through me.
    And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see it's path.
    When the beer has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

    I'm still working on a beer holder design... but I'm not sure if we'll get anywhere fast with it :D

    I'm pretty sure it'll have to be a device that sits next to the laptop, and plugs in.

    Possibly having a "full meter" that displays on your screen, giving an idea of how full your beer is, and how cold it is.. and possibly cooling it.

    Hell, that'd be a cool device for any computer.... Let me go run to the patent office ;)

    Better than the stupid coffee-mug-warmer/evaporator/drier-outter you always get at the office X-Mas party...

    You want fries with that?
