I added a new internal antenna to my 28. I took some pictures and made up this small tutorial on how I did it.

Nice job, man! How about the other antena. If you could search on this forum I think a year ago. I used the padle antena at the same location both side of the lcd at the back of the rubber bumper. I don't know if the photo still exist I think I already deleted to give way some photos.

Thanks. I changed it a bit more later today. I moved the antenna between the magnesium casing and the rubber corner, so the magnesium won't block signal. The website is changed to reflect it.
However, I don't think I have that great of an antenna, or wifi card. Both need to be replaced.

I'll use that on the other side, to connect to that black wire and fab a slick mount for the top of the LCD. -
As an alternative if you don't need the range of a 'true' external antenna, there are various self-adhesive patch antennas and also some coaxial style mini-antennas on ebay (they look like a section of fat heatshrink sleeve just before the end of the cable).
I used a mini-pci wifi card in my CF-28 Mk3, then fitted a pair of the coaxial antennas into the tops of the two plastic covers at the sides of the palmrest.
As all the wiring is via the battery & HDD compartments it's quite easy to fit.
This gives very reliable operation & saves the screen-mounted antenna for a mobile broadband module I'm hoping to add. -
HI Bungle: I looked at you site but could not get all the pictures to load up. Am I missing something? Thanks. Spark
