I received my new to me CF-29LT4GZBM TB yesterday and as I opened the PCMCIA cover I noticed that there was a card inserted. I removed it and it is a Schlumberger Smart Card reader/writer SCR245 PC card. My question is can I do anything with this or should I just toss it????

Those are real useful if you use a smart card ID to access limited networks. If you don't need to do that, PM me with asking price.

I also purchased a cf 29 with the same smart card reader writer in it. I have no use for it, since I don't have any idea what it does or who would use it. Would a non tech have a need for this?

If you are interested in selling the reader from the 29, please let me know either here or by PM.

I already have both a USB and a PCMCIA reader, but I would like to have the oem built in for my 29.
