So for the heck of it I popped out the Media Pocket battery on a CF-28 MKII while it was running...

And it seemed to be fine, no screen flickers or power losses. I don't know, maybe I wasn't looking hard enough but never found anything of the sort.

Still gives that ridiculous buzzing if you do it while the system is OFF, though.

I kinda assumed it didn't because I couldn't find it (I'll admit I may of not looked hard enough) or that as a ThinkPad user doing so destroys the motherboard (I attempted it on a T60 despite the fact the BIOS takes 2 minutes to reroute the battery once the lever is pulled; lost the motherboard shortly afterwards. It still works but you can't start it while plugged in).

It's good to know since I have two media pocket batteries in addition to my green tab so I can run around and not worry about wall outlets...I just wished it was in the FAQ because there isn't a "safely remove hardware" feature like it does on the T60 (which even then is a lie, doing through Windows doesn't work while pulling the lever out and leaving it there does the trick. Although nowadays I simply just never touch that bay while the system is ON.)
