Hello, I'm doing a lot of search on cf-19 mk3 because I want to buy it in the near future but there are some things I dont understand (I cannot find a cf-19 faq thread like the ones on cf-29) :

1)It seems that cf-19 mk3 with DUAL TOUCH (touchscreen and digitizer) are very hard to find...on ebay I see many cf-19 like the 19KHRAGAM advertised as "dual" and with a pen in the screen lid (why ??) but according to CF-19 Tablet - ToughWiki they are touch only.

2)Are there microphone and headset jacks on cf-19 mk3 models? I heard that in cf-19mk1 the microphone jack is missing

    3)Is the cf-19 mk3 FANLESS? like the cf-28

4)Is really difficult to find a cf-19 with camera like that http://gusinc.com/2012/ComTB19_files/CF-19_Bottom_Flash_300.jpg?

5)Is it important to get a model with dual pass? I'm not interested in the docking station

6)Is it possible to have backlit keyboard, gps, gobi, bluetooth, wifi options at the same time?
E.g. In my cf-28 to use gps I had to disable serial port in bios because there weren't enough irq addresses.

Thank you a lot for your patience :)

Your right! Its rare to find a dual touch on ebay. Mostly available are touch model only. Recently I sold one with dual touch. Be a good eye on CF-19KD......for sure its dual touch but be very careful. It may trick you coz If somebody work on it before you. It may change the panel. All CF-19 has mic jack from CF-19MK1 to Mk5. I do have one unit with camera option but the camera is missing. Its also CF-19KD...... All Cf-19 has a dual passthru. Depending on the setup which wireless system you want it to be connected. Its only a matter of rewiring the setup. For the no.6 Q? Yes! It can be done or you may find that option completely or otherwise you have to make by yourself. No worry. we are to help.

Thank you ohlip. I think the mk4 models should be dual touch but they are too expensive for me. I'd like to find a refurbished or used cf-19KD dual touch in the 500$ range.
Why do touch only mk3 models on ebay have a pen too in the lid? I think it's useful only on digitizer models

Well, given the small size of the 19's screen, a pen can be useful also with the touchscreen, at least with my finger...
PS Nice to know of the camera option, very cool.

on the camera option yes they are as rare as hen teeth. I managed to find one by luck on ebay after searching on and off for about a year. One caveat with the camera equipped ones they can only hold 4 gigs of ram max as the camera is soldered to the second ram slot according to Rob, maybe Ohlip can clear that up since his is missing the camera?

I haven't seen the insides of the factory camera either so I can't really say but I do remember them talking about the one ram slot was missing and the camera was there. Now since you can hack usb on the inside there is nothing saying you can't put a camera in there on the ram slot or wwan cover slot. I think at one time someone got a web cam hacked into a 18 or 19 on the lid.

I've found that a better convertible does exist: Getac V100

    PROS:
10.4" 4:3 or 12.1" wide Sunlight Readable 1200nit display resistive multitouch (with polarizer?) and optional digitizer
backlit keyboard, gps,bt,wifi gobi etc etc
    2mp swivel CAMERA
    headphone/mic
    fanless

    CONS
very hard to get with all the goodies
doesn't have a model number system like panasonic,it's difficult to know which hardware it's in it
costly hard to get spare parts
customization potential unknown, there's no forum no wiki about it
I dont know if it's linux compatible

It's not better, it just sounds better :)
Very expensive, very rare, no cheap spare parts. Port covers are worse than CF-19's.

I have one of these. Some of them do have the web cam that can rotate some don't. I got mine complete so I lucked out there. Mine is 1.2 core 2 duo but uses the older 945 chipset (hoping for the 965 chipset). They span over few generations like the CF-19 does. All the way up to i5 and added a the wide screen version of it that you list above. There driver support is very good. Already had the windows 7 drivers on there site for my model. Not sure they may even have the 8 drivers out. I think it would work on Linux pretty good. Planning a GPS mod in the future.
