So remember my thread ages ago about my mom's CF-52 WWAN not working... And I was asking everyone about the dip switches?

WELLLLL...... I figured this out today one of my CF-19's I have in inventory when I had to put a Sprint card in a CDBAXVT model... I will try to check and see if the same will work on the CF-52 if she ever brings it home from work... :)

The picture shows it all but there is one thing that the picture doesn't say: TAKE OUT THE BATTERY OR FLIPPING DIP SWITCHES WON'T DO JACK!!! :eek2:

Once I put 1/3 on and 2/4 off with the battery OUT... bada bing bada boom! Shows up in BIOS and everything!

Rob, You have, I suppose, heard the one about the Texan "not smart enough to pour pi$$ out of a boot with instructions written on the heel?"

I noticed when changing wwan units in cf-29's that there were issues

Resolution was battery out , hold power switch on for a few seconds
Replace battery and ac adapter , reset bios to defaults

    UPDATE:

So I donno if you guys remember but my NDIS (that is the auto connect in case you are networking challenged :D) on my sprint card stopped working about a year ago on my CF-30. Anyways, yesterday, I swapped out the WWAN caddy (not the card of coarse) and viola! It works now! The signal is also better as well as the speed!

    Thanks
