Ok my TB does not have WWAN and i know there is a switch and some LED lights on the opposite side of the power switch for WWAN.
What are those LED lights and switch for? Does it control the EVDO card?
What I am thinking of is there anyway you can use that switch and lights for the mini-pci wifi card?
Where does that wire that connects to the switch and light goto?
I want to somehow add that to my TB but use it to control my regular wifi if that is somehow possible.
I was looking at a cf-29 schematic but it was a model without WWAN and i have no idea what the cable connects to.
Any info would be great. I have not seen or heard of this being done before. I don't know if it is possible but I would love to have a hard wired switch to turn wifi on and off instead of having the software control it.

The switch and LED's are for the WWAN on the sled. The cable for the switch and LED's connect to a connector on the ribbon cable that is between the motherboard and Sled docking connector. I doubt it would be practical to try to hack it to control the WIFI mini pci but I guess anything is possible around here.

James look here: http://www.robsnetworks.com/toughbook/CF-29 Service Manual/SVC/cf_29enpnxkm.pdf it has a breakdown of the antenna and whatnot as this is a wireless ready model

Ya I have that PDF i used it to get all the part numbers for the switch and cables but it does not show where that cable goes or what the connector number is for it. Now that I know where it goes I need to look at the cf-29 schematic and find out if controlling the mini-pci wifi card is possible and what connector number it is.
