About 2 weeks ago I had some trouble trying to print (printer was unplugged for a few weeks prior to this attempt) (blank pages only came out) (Usually I don't have issues printing in B&W but that didn't work either) Tried an Epson software update, no change. The printer in question is an Epson xp6000.
About a day or so after that I noticed that the name of my Mobile Broadband connection had changed from T-Mobile (4G LTE GSM) to T-Mobile (4G LTE GSM) 2.
Yesterday when connecting to the printer in an attempt to try to print again, I noticed that I could no longer connect to the Broadband and the printer at the same time as I could before. (Only certain programs were blocked, now its the entirety of my internet connection)
Finally I noticed that I was actually able to download things via uTorrent. (Something previously impossible with my current network unless using my friends router connection.)
In conclusion, I have only vague ideas of what I think the problems are.
With the printer/network issue, it seems like there's some kind of port being blocked/conflict.
If I should be posting this somewhere else/better, let me know. Thank you.

Thanks Spirit, I had forgotten about that kind of texting. (My WWAN account on my laptop is inactive.)
Something worth trying is check your firewall settings. If one network thing works, but another does not, it may be you need to make firewall aware of non-working program.
To test this theory, just turn firewall off completely, and see if everything works. then turn it back on and fool with firewall permissions.Last edited by a moderator: Jul 5, 2020TheSpiritOfRadio likes this. -

Something that would be helpful for me when reading posts since I’m on my phone via Tapatalk quite frequently while at work...
I do not know which operating system you are using let alone what machine you’re on when you ask these questions...
maybe at the beginning of your question you could just post a simple note of the operating system at the very least and possibly the machine you are using -

And your WiFi is a home network or are you getting it from a cell phone hotspot?

In my attempt to delete and reinstall all Sierra wireless drivers, I can't reconnect. Before it said "searching" it said "Device turned off"
Checked / refreshed device manager, nothing new / disabled.

Strange. looks like it updated. 2G? GPRS? Verizon? I have Tmobile.... I don't know what happened.
After checking the software version. guess it was actually a downgrade...Attached Files:

New GPS icon plus it added another profile for Verizon with PDP type of IPv4v6.
My Tmobile profile just says IP. Whats the significance behind the IP type change? Looks like GPS is workingish. also, it looks like it updated SMS express with some check boxes.Attached Files:

So I guess the skylight version I had which worked with the GPS monitor was an older version of skylight because I updated it and now nothing. Just sits waiting for fix.

Just wondering since you are using Windows 7 do you have a way to roll back your system to a previous Restore State and other words have you been making back ups of your system when things were working?

So yesterday when GPS was working but showing GPRS/EDGE/2G/slow connection, what i decided to do was put the clone in so i could get the system to run on the most recent version of Skylight. (the one showing 4G but no GPS). I did that because I would rather have a solid 4G connection rather than 2G w/ GPS.
My thinking was that if i plugged in the drive (via USB) with the working GPS config/version, i could copy those files and get it to work but I realized there was no way to do that since Skylight installs in entire builds, not necessarily individual parts that i can just copy over.
So I put the working GPS drive back in the laptop to see if I could find what device it was using in device manager and see where it stores the NMEA Port COM4 software/driver. (I honestly had no idea what i was trying to do, but trying something...) Once i started the computer, i saw in the lower right hand corner it said "Configuring SIM card" or something like that and that once sierra started, it looked exactly like it did on my other drive. No working GPS w/ 4G (picture below)
GPSOneXTRA is enabled in GPS monitor
EDIT Side note for the record, I got those 16 satellites the other day while sitting inside a building.
EDIT Is it possible to find AirPrime EM/MC Series Skylight Connection Manager (Build 4814) without needing an sierra account/email? I had no luck making an account...
I had installed Skylight Connection Manager Build 4585 but still had no GPS option/button
I have no idea how this works but would installing this AT command tester do me any good? Maybe I could check/configure some stuff?Attached Files:

Side question. Will a MC7455 work with windows 7? or do the drivers not exist?

Ok I feel silly but long story short, after i upgraded my hard drive i forgot to re enable GPS in the BIOS. I re enabled it and now i have another com port. (theres now 2 COM3 ports... possible conflict?) Would this be the reason GPS isn't working? My thought moving forward it to un install and delete all related sierra drivers then fresh install to alleviate this potential com port conflict. Let me know your thoughts. Thanks.

Ok attempting another test with GPS viewer yielded some awesome results. Obviously it's an issue with the sierra software not seeing the correct port. Any thoughts? is there a way to direct sierra to view a specific port?

Uninstalled and reinstalled everything. But this time i first installed this old version of connection manager and everything showed up but unfortunately only 2/3G though.
Then installed the latest 7355 drivers... which didn't help the 2/3G issueLast edited: Jul 12, 2020 -
Try swapping the aux/main antenna connections on the card over...
