I have searched this site and lurked for weeks but I am stuck. I have a cf28 MBFAZEM and I can't get the sound to work in Win98 ( not SE ). ( I know the sound board works because I can hear sounds using Linux - but I that won't work for me for what I need to run on this machine) I have tried the WIN 98 drivers from Panasonic Canada, from Molly's site, I even went to the ESS site I got a bunch of drivers and an id program, and nothing works. Most of the time I am installing drivers for a ESS PCI Maestro 3, sometimes it is for an Allegro 1, but no matter what I do no sound - most of the time when I go to sounds, the button for test is greyed out. The few times I got drivers installed that gave me a black button still no sound through the speakers or the headphones. I already tried the FN 4 and 6 , but that makes no difference ( the sound was fine on Linux so I didn't think it was a FN key issue) Any help would be appreciated Barry
