    I think that airforce admin had big problems with Intel wi-fi cards (and they are really nightmare with all those buggy drivers) in the past and have ordered laptops with Azurewave/Atheros cards for the new park of machines.
    100mW (and 400, 800 etc.) are there only to show why his accountant has to order (and pay for) non-Intel cards :))

    The 100mw designation for the accountant..That does make sense.

    I just ordered a Azurewave AW -CE123H.
    Broadcom chip
    AW-CE123H Product Features:
    * High speed wireless connection up to 867 Mbps for Wi-Fi
    * Supports 2x2 MIMO Antenna Technology + Bluetooth (antenna not included)
    * 802.11ac on Hackintosh
    * WCS (Wireless Coexistence System)
    * Low power consumption and high performance
    * Enhanced wireless security
    * Fully qualified Bluetooth BT4.0 and BT3.0 + High speed system
    * Enhanced Data Rate(EDR) compliant for both 2Mbps and 3Mbps supported
    * Fully speed operation with Piconet and Scatternet support
    * Electrical compliant to USB1.1 & 2.0

    The specs are very similar to the 7260.
    I am going to test it in the CF31. The Intel 7260 does not perform as well as I would like. The Intel 7260 in my CF53 seems to do better. I may have an antenna problem in the CF31. I suspect the second antenna being on the palmrest instead of the lid will hinder reception.
    Next on the plan is convert the WWAN antenna in the lid to WIFI.

    I've just installed AW-CE123H into my CF-19 MK5.
    Upgraded from MK6 to MK5.

    Does the AW-CE123H work any better? I am mostly concerned about signal strength and picking up weaker signals. I don't play any games online.

    Immediate connects after sleep etc. No random disconnects unlike almost all Intel cards.
    I think it's a question of antenna sensitivity. No problems. I don't play games too, but connection quality is critical for my tasks. So, no Intel Wi-Fi wherever it's possible.
