Okay... I got this really nice CF-30 MK2 that has a Sprint WWAN in it. I downloaded Watcher from the Panny site and finally found a driver that seems to make the Device Manager issues go away... But Watcher still shows No Device Detected.

    Anyone have any ideas?

Edit: I just realized that it was my 6 year anniversary here! Woohoo!

    Hi Rick

Did you install SWUSBMUX.exe (usb driver) as well? Oh yes... don't forget to pull the battery and power...then see if the bios sees it.

    Nick,

I did not... Where do I find it? It wasn't on Panny's site.

    Nick,

I downloaded and installed it. Yes it is the Sierra MC5725. Device Manager was clear with no ?'s so I thought it would work... I heard a lot of bing/bongs while installing... But still No Device Detected in Watcher. I am wondering if I need to install the driver first, then the USB then Watcher.

I installed Watcher first, then the driver, then the USB program. I usually don't mess with WWANs and suggest a 4G hotspot for a similar or lower price... But I figured I would try to set this up. I think the last one I set up was on a CF-29 about 3 years ago and I remember having fits with that one too.

    Ideas?

    Hi Rick

On my 30m2 I use the Verizon version of the MC5725. On a fresh XP or win 7 install I install these files in this order...the last one is a update file. I am not sure if sprint uses a sims cards. Found dip switch settings.

    dipswitches ccf-30.jpg settings.

Hmmmmm... I downloaded Sierra_Aircard_Watcher_v3728_Win_XP_7.zip from the Panny site. You have me wondering if that is the correct one. It was the only one I could find that showed it worked with Sprint.

I'll have to look around more tomorrow... It's bedtime for Bonzo now... LOL

    Thanks for the help!

EDIT... I just did a quick look... I didn't see the grayed out tabs! AHHHHHHHHH.... Sprint is there... I'll download tomorrow and try again.

    Thanks!

    UPDATE

I couldn't wait. I downloaded the correct software and now I am typing this while connected to Sprint. It must be on someone else's dime... I didn't plug in a code or subscribe. Hmmmmm.... Interesting!
