I've googled quite a bit, and am unsure. All I could find were shoelace type rope at the end of the shoulder strap; and that just seems silly to me.

On a 29 I know there are square rings bolted to the back corners; how does the carrying/shoulder strap attach to them? Is it the same connection as for a 30, 31, 18, and/or 19? the 18/19's have an X strap that attaches to all 4 corners, yes?

Go to a tack store (equine) and look at an English Bridle where the reins attach to the bit.

    That's one way.

Jeff no I don't want to build them. But I could. :D

I'll build it but I get $30/hour plus material. (Saddle Shop) Figure three hours with name and makers stamp. Serious. And I'm cheap. And I have a waiting list for the shop. Your move. :D

    I would convert the base of a CF-29 d-ring with a CF-30/31 d-ring:

~Toughbook Talk~ Toughbook Discussion • View topic - Interesting Toughbook Qwarks...

    4) You can split apart the black metal clamp part of a CF-29 D-ring and put a CF-30 D-ring on it to make the ring usable with a normal strap (You would have to split the CF-30 D-ring apart too of coarse). - So that you won't have to purchase the proprietary strap for the CF-29

    Thanks

P.S, Jeffs solution would be WAY nicer and elegant, and if I was you, that's what I WOULD DO :)

    Jiffy Rivets (6-pack). $1.49.
One long dog collar would do it with a leather punch and these. Cut the collar in half. Punch four holes and Bobs your Uncle.
I buy them by the 100 or 1,000 pack.
