    Hey All,

Is the raw screen on the 29 the same as the 30? (I know there is a NIT difference).

I want to swap panels and touch panels from a 29 to a 30.

I think that the cf-30 using a usb type touchscreen interface
The cf-29's is serial , you would need to look at the schematics on each to see if it's possible
I take it you are just thinking about adding the touchpanel and leaving the lcd in place
The cf-29 touch and non-touch lcd is the same nit brighness as the cf-30 non-touch 500nits

I've tried this but the problem is that the 30 uses a dual inverter set-up. So if you use a 29 screen you can only hook up one backlight. The problem is that the screen works on AC power but as soon as you run battery the backlight shuts off. Might be able to wire to invertor up different but I just got a 30 screen housing via this forum
